The hard part of leaving Informatica isn't converting the code.
It's knowing what to build.

A three-stage accelerator that documents your PowerCenter estate in plain business language, designs the Microsoft Fabric target architecture, and delivers the artifacts to build it — so you migrate on evidence instead of assumptions.

The clock you didn't start

The decision has already been made for you.

31 March 2026

Standard support ended. You are already past it. Extended support runs at a premium, on software that is no longer moving forward.

31 March 2027

Extended support ends. No supported path remains.

Conversion tools answer the easy question.

Automated converters translate syntax. They tell you what a mapping says — not whether it should become a pipeline, a notebook or a Dataflow Gen2, and not how to rebuild the restartability, dependency and parameter behaviour PowerCenter gave you for free.

Meanwhile the logic that actually runs the business sits in mappings nobody documented, written by people who have left. That is what stalls migrations, and no translator resolves it.

Four constructs drive most of the variance.

Unconnected Lookups, Sequence Generators, Transaction Control, and Java & Custom transformations have no clean Fabric equivalent and are routinely missed in vendor estimates. We count them in the Survey, before anyone quotes you a number.

Each one needs a hand-built Fabric pattern. Finding them late is what turns a fixed-price migration into a change order.

The resolution

Three stages, each independently valuable.

Start with the Survey. Decide the rest from evidence.

02 · Design

Migration Blueprint

A business-definition layer confirming what each workflow means to the people who rely on it, construct-by-construct target decisions with rationale, orchestration framework design, and a wave plan with an effort model.

03 · Deliver

Migration Factory

Parameterised Data Factory templates, PySpark notebook scaffolds, master orchestration with dependency chaining and restartability, naming and CI/CD conventions, and a parallel-run validation harness with a cutover runbook.

How it's delivered

Stages 02 and 03 run through your points subscription — or as fixed scope, if you prefer.

Same model as the rest of our work: no six-figure commitment to find out whether the plan is sound. Start with the free Survey, and decide from evidence.

Why Informed Decision?

“We shouldn’t aspire to be data-driven. That turns us into bots. Leave room for human intangibilities like taste and intuition. Be data-informed, not data-driven. That philosophy is at the heart of everything we do at Informed Decision: we bring the expertise and the data so your team can make better decisions, not just follow dashboards.”

Expert support that enables your people.

Not every team needs a full-time consultant. Some teams just need the right expertise, at the right time, in the right dose, to learn, to grow, and to do more on their own.

That's what our subscription model delivers. Every engagement is joint, your team works alongside ours, building real capability with every session. We're not here to create dependency. We're here to make your people stronger.

Whether it's Power BI reports, AI-driven automation, or information security with Microsoft Purview, we bring the specialist involvement you need, on a part-time basis that makes sense for your budget.

Enablement First

We teach your team to fish. Every engagement makes your people more capable.

Joint Problem Solving

We work alongside your team, not in a silo. Expertise transfers because we build together.

Right-Sized Support

No oversized engagements. Exactly the specialist involvement you actually need.

Ongoing Partnership

Monthly subscriptions mean continuous improvement, not one-and-done projects.

FAQ

Common Questions

We're built first and foremost for Microsoft customers, but if you're exploring Microsoft products and platforms and thinking about making the move, we'd love to have that conversation too.

Up to 10% of your unused points roll over to the following month. Any points beyond that expire. This keeps your subscription flexible while encouraging consistent engagement with your team.

Absolutely. Your monthly points can be applied across any combination of Power BI & Fabric, AI Agents & Copilot, and InfoSec & Purview activities. You choose from the menu each month based on what you need most.

Most consultancies want to give you a dedicated full-time team, which is valuable, but often overkill. We provide the same caliber of Microsoft expertise through a flexible, part-time subscription model. You get specialist support without spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a multi-member full-time team.

Enablement is our priority. We work jointly with your team on every engagement. Our goal is for your people to get stronger and be able to do more on their own over time. We teach you to fish, we don't just fish for you.

Let's talk about it. Our menu covers the most common activities, but we're flexible. If you have a specific need within the Microsoft ecosystem, we'll work with you to scope it and assign an appropriate point value.
